Effects of Climate Change

Essay:

Climate change is one of huge problems that blue planet is facing. Although this problem was caused by natural activities, in the present this issue is caused more by man-made activities. Actually, there are many demands from people around the world who need facilitating devices. Those stuffs play the role to produce greenhouse gases to atmosphere and they lead to 3 main effects to the earth.
The first primary effect of climate change is ice melt. We know that the world climate is changing to be become hotter and hotter gradually. Arctic sea ice Arctic sea ice hit record-low extents in both the fall and winter of 2015 and 2016, meaning that at the time when the ice is supposed to be at its peak, it was lagging. The melt means there is less thick sea ice that persists for multiple years. In general, ice melt, sea level rise. In 2014, the World Meteorological Organisation reported that sea-level rise accelerated 3 millimetres per year on average worldwide. This is around double the average annual rise of 1.6 millimetres in the 20th century.
Second main effect is worsening drought. Drought conditions and record heat have fuelled damaging and sometimes deadly wildfires. Millions of forested acres and thousands of homes have been lost over the past decade due to fires thriving in dry. What is more, Droughts can raise concerns about the reliability of electricity production from plants that require cooling water to maintain safe operations. Hydroelectric power may also become unavailable during droughts. When heat waves coincide with droughts, electricity demands can grow, compounding stress on the grid.
The final effect of climate changes is Agriculture. Agricultural systems will likely be dealt a crippling blow. Though growing seasons in some areas will expand, the combined impacts of drought, severe weather, lack of accumulated snowmelt, greater number and diversity of pests, lower groundwater tables and a loss of arable land could cause severe crop failures and livestock shortages worldwide. Furthermore, livestock and crops, including cornerstone commodities like corn, soybeans, and wheat.
To summarise, these three effects has led the world to a dangerous level. The ice melt which influence rising sea level, drought that cause wildfire and energy issue, agriculture systems go down because of climate change. In the future, I hope that there will be a better solution to solve this big problem and push the world to be a beautiful place for people to live.
