My First Pet at Home
I was born in Phnom Penh and I had been living here for 6 years. My family and I lived in a flat. It was not spacious. Until I was 6 years old, we moved to Siem Reap. Over there, Siem Reap, we had a big plot of land and my parents built a house. At that time, 2005, I started to feed a pet. It was a dog. She was named Dudu by my grandmother, but now she has no presence on the earth anymore. Dudu was a small dog with light brown fur. She was my first pet and lived with me for 13 years. Moreover, Dudu was a smart and honest dog I had ever met. When she was small, she liked eating so much. Every time she ate rice, she always got a big stomach and walked funnily. She not only eat much, but also sleep much. Actually, she sleep a lot only in the day time. At night, she played a role as a home bodyguard. She liked barking at strangers, especially the walkers who walked pass by our home. Once, a burglar attempted to break into our house, unluckily he was bitten by her and ran away. Dudu was a good and lovely dog but she made some problem. One day, she bit my neighbor and we had to pay for the fare of the injection. We were not happy indeed. In addition, what I liked her the most was that she always wait for me to arrive home from school. She came to welcome me regularly. I can release some stress whenever I see her. My family and I felt like we had another member. Dudu delivery babies for many times. As I remember it wasn’t less than 7 times. We sometimes kept one or two babies of hers. Dudu had a talent. She could jump very high. Often I hanged food or cookies from my hand and she jumped to eat those food. It was fun. I liked the good time with her. Unfortunately, in 2018 She died. I really miss her. Nowadays, I live in Phnom Penh and I have no pet.
